FG urged to return Nigeria to farm
The federal and state governments have been encouraged to take the country back to agriculture for foreign currency earning and eradication of poverty.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mainland Oil and Gas Company Ltd, Chris Odinaka Igwe, stated this in Amuda Isuochi in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State on the occasion of the flag-off of a 6.5 kilometre cluster of roads in partnership with the state government.
Speaking during the occasion, Igwe said the Federal Government and state should look inward and go into agriculture to solve the problem of food insecurity and to ensure that food was on the table of an average Nigeria.

“The Federal Government and states should go back to agriculture and other mineral resources and develop them to also solve the problem of unemployment, poverty and so that there will not be insecurity again in the country”, he said.
Igwe said that he was partnering with the Abia State Government in line with his vision in Mainland Oil and Gas Company Ltd to be alive to social responsibility and also to partner with government of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to bring development to the rural people.

He said he thought it wise to come to his state and invest in the area of agriculture and give loans to Abians.
