Embattled Manchester United To Be PUNISHED Heavily By EPL

Manchester United’s day has just gone from bad to worse as the team is set to be handed a very hefty fine for arriving late at White Hart Lane on Sunday after it was humbled by Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils, which fell 3-0 to Spurs on a disappointing afternoon and now faces missing out on Champions League football next season, is likely to be fined by the Premier League after flouting regulations on punctuality.

United arrived late to its match, which delayed kick-off by 30 minutes.

Louis van Gaal’s men were stuck in traffic and forced the match to be pushed back to a 4.30 start time.

English Premier League rules state that any team who delays kick-off by 15 minutes or less faces a fine of N2,250,000 (£5,000).

But United delayed kick-off for half an hour meaning they could be handed a much heftier fine and they will face a formal disciplinary hearing.
