Building Collapse in Midtown Manhattan Leaves One Dead
A building under construction in midtown Manhattan partially collapsed on Friday morning, leaving one person dead and another trapped in debris, according to city fire officials. The fire Department of New York tweeted this this afternoon that firefighters were attempting to rescue the person from the debris.

First Stores opened In Arab World by Apple
According to a report on Huffpost Tech- Apple opened its firts retail stores in the Arab world on Thursday in the luxury mall of the UAE, hoping to sell wealthy consumers on their new high-end smartwatches. These new stores, at Dubai's Mall of Emirates and Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall, find themselves alongside other global luxury brands like Emporio Armani, Fendi and Burberry.

Police in Pasadena spent seven hours attempting to talk the 40-year-old star down from the ledge.

Fighter Jets Track Military Blimp Drifting Over Pennsylvania
North American Aerospace Defense Command officials tell NBC News that
an unmanned Army surveillance blimp that tore loose from its ground
tether in Maryland and drifted north is now 16,000 feet over Wilmington,
Pennsylvania.
Two F-16 fighter jets, scrambled from Atlantic City, New Jersey, are tracking the blimp's course.

Pupil dies after school stabbing at Cults Academy
A 16-year-old pupil has died after being stabbed at an Aberdeen school.
Police are treating the death of the pupil - named locally as Bailey Gwynne - at Cults Academy as a murder inquiry.Officers said a 16-year-old male pupil had been detained after emergency services were called to the school at about 13:30.
Head teacher Anna Muirhead said the victim was a "very gentle" and "caring" and pupils and staff were in a " state of total shock".
