The number of Nigerians that died during the 2015 hajj now reaches 199.
The Commissioner Planning,Research and Library service of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON), Dr. Saleh Okenwa revealed the Latest number and said that 121 people were still missing.
Sokoto and Kano states reported the most casualties according to Okenwa with sokoto reporting 79 dead and 59 missing while Kano recorded 20 people dead.
Other states which recorded neither death nor missing pligrims were: Borno.Gombe,Adamawa,Jigawa,kebbi.kano.Niger, Nasarawa,Kwara,ondo.plateau,Taraba,Yobe,zamfara,Rivers and Fct.
The numbers of deaths from the state contingents is 160(70 male, 84 female, 4 male officials and 2 female officials).
The injured ones are 33 in number (18 male, 15 female). 110 are still missing (61 male. 48 female and one male official) Okenwa said.
The tour operator recorded 39 deaths(25 male. 14 female) but 11 people are still missing said Okenwa.
