A 40 year old Information Technologist, Mr Samuel Bankole on Tuesday told an Igando Customary court in Lagos that his father inlaw was responsible for his leaving his matrimonial home.
Bankole who was responding to a divorce suit filed by his wife, Iyabo, said his father inlaw sent him out of the house because he was unable to pay house rent.
He said "my wife always pays the rent because i am not buoyant enough but the last rent was paid by my father inlaw who has been threatening me to vacate the house or commit suicide"
He further said " on that faithful day, he came with a thug to beat me and throw my things out, he also arrested me and i passed the night in the cell before my father came to bail me out"
He said his wife with whom he had three children for was having extra marital affair but begged the court not to dissolve the marriage because he still loves her.
The court adjourned the case till november 4th 2015
