Saraki may sacrifice his principal officers for APC preferred candidates

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, is reportedly prepared to succumb to the position of All Progressives Congress, APC, on the principal officers of the upper chamber of the National Assembly.


A source said Dogara and the leadership of APC in the Senate held a marathon meeting at the new wing of the Senate complex yesterday evening, where it was agreed that the current holders of the Majority Leadership positions should give way to those anointed by the party.
According to a source, the Senate President had communicated Ndume and Na’Allah about the decision of the party on the need for them to vacate the offices.
It was also gathered that Senator Ahmad Lawan had been informed of the readiness of the Senate President to announce him as the new Senate Leader.
