Court Of Appeal Sacks David Mark, Orders Re-run Of Election

The court, sitting in the capital of north central Benue state, Makurdi also ordered a re-run of the election within 90 days.


It would be recalled, Mark and the All Progressives Congress senatorial candidate in Benue, Daniel Onjeh had been at loggerheads head over the victory of the former in the last election.

The National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal had announced Mark winner, however, the verdict was challenged by the APC senatorial candidate, Onjeh.

Onjeh insisted that Mark rigged his way in for the fifth term, hence his decision to approach the tribunal.
