Police nab Ogun State Robbery Gang Leader, 3 others in Sapele

The Police have arrested the leader and the 3 members of a robbery team that robbed banks in Lagos and Ogun state recently.


It was gathered that the armed robbers were arrested after a gun battle that left one policeman dead.
it was further gathered that the leader of the gang Kelly Fotor, popularly known as Kelvin, was arrested by the Inspector General of [Police Special Intelligence Response Team in Sapele at about 3pm on Saturday.

The team was said to have tracked Kelly, the leader of the Festac, Lekki, Ikorodu (all in Lagos state) and Agbara (Ogun State) bank robberies to Sapele.

The last of such robbery operation last week nin Agbara Estate, Agbara Ogun State left a policeman dead. Kelly and his group however did not give up easily.

One policeman was shot dead during the gun battle and 3 of the 4 arrested armed robbers sustained bullet wounds and other members were said to have escaped to Delta and Ondo State.

It was said that efforts are on to arrest the fleeing members of the gang.
